EASYnat v2.0 now integrates hybrid modeling already available in natFX allowing for rapid and easy plant modeling with a minimum of polygons.

EASYnat v2.0 is Bionatics plant modeling and simulation solution for architects needing 3D photo-realistic trees for their projects. Simple to use and fast to implement, EASYnat enables the user to easily simulate and place 3D botanically correct plants at any age into 3D templates. The user may generate any plant from a diverse library of 300 available plants (virtual seeds). EASYnat saves considerable on production time by enabling users to generate any procedural plant or tree from a diverse library of 300 virtual seeds. Virtual seeds contain an expression of the genetic code of the plant’s real-life counterpart. One virtual seed can generate an infinite number of variations of the same plant. Coupled with a growth engine, EASYnat delivers botanically correct models that may be aged and have their seasons changed at will.

With EASYnat v2.0, Bionatics has incorporated its exclusive hybrid 2D/3D modeling technology enabling users to generate 3D realistic trees at a fraction of the polygons. Hybrid 2D/3D modeling combines full geometry with 2D plates (billboards), drastically reducing polygon count while retaining plant aesthetics and organic integrity.

Full 3D models to single billboards, EASYnat’s flexible plant modeling techniques allow for optimized renderings and memory consumption. Coupled with LOD (level of detail) controls, the user has complete control over the visual impact and appeal of the tree in his scene.
