Digital Immersion Announces Presenter 3D for SketchUp Beta |
Company Responds to Customer Demand for Rendering and Animation Software
DETROIT, Michigan, August 3, 2004 — Responding to the overwhelming demand of SketchUp conceptual design software users, Digital Immersion Software Corp., an industry leader in photo-realistic product communication, today announced the availability of its Presenter 3D for SketchUp beta version. The software, which will become available for download at the web sites of Digital Immersion ( www.Presenter3D.com) and @Last Software ( www.SketchUp.com), will enable SketchUp users to add real time rendering, animation, and lighting to significantly enhance their designs.
Communicating the design intent is key when securing buy-off on conceptual design. Presenter 3D for SketchUp will eliminate the confusion when trying to convey a designer’s ideas to other team members and customers. Team members who do not have SketchUp software will also be able to open a SketchUp or 3DS file in Presenter 3D for SketchUp. This will increase the number of people that can participate in the design process without increasing the cost or frustration by requiring everyone to own the conceptual design package. New users can view a quick tutorial, “Five Easy Steps to Using Presenter 3D,” at www.Presenter3D.com.
“Satisfying customers’ needs is our number one priority. As such, we are seeking feedback to the beta version from SketchUp users so that the final rendering package we deliver will meet their requirements,” said Terry Cotant, vice president of Product Development & Marketing, Digital Immersion.
SketchUp users who would like to participate in this beta program should contact Jeff Demore, beta coordinator at Digital Immersion by sending an email to Jeff@Presenter3D.com or by calling 877-272-0804.
