In this type of post-production applying a curve to increase the contrast is not enough: here we must apply concepts of Chiaroscuro: gradients and steps.

As you can notice, in these corners the "steps" (= relevant variation of light amount) are not very pronounced. Usually, it depends on the space and the way how the light bounces around.
Before rendering you could fix it by using black curtains/planes, but in case the render is ready you can paint shadows to enhance the light direction you have. Check this video BELOW to see the result! 👇🏻👇🏻
