IMAGINA's First European Visualisation Forum

Press Release

IMAGINA's First European Visualisation Forum

IMAGINA will be launching the first European Visualisation Forum dedicated to the Building & Design Industry in February 2006. It is to take place in Monaco during the IMAGINA 2006 trade show. We all realise how visualisation in the Building & Design industry is becoming constantly more important each year. Every day, thousands of companies and independents produce CG images to better serve this industry. As a result, they make better projects, reduce costs, optimise return on investment and improve communication. Simulation and Visualisation have become a necessity providing benefits for any firm involved in the Building & Design industry.

Meanwhile, Architects still have no place to meet but at tradeshows dedicated to video games, cartoon animation and special effects. The animation & movie industry was a great sponsor and support in the 1990's developing the CG technologies that we use and apply to Architecture today. But, as our viz experience has now become more mature and specific, new problems and needs have arisen that must be addressed through a specialized community. Our community is fast growing and visualisation is no longer an exceptional matter mastered by a small group of experts. Today, Simulating and Visualizing are part of our conception methods and are being used more and more by CAD users every day. A place is now needed where all the firms, consultants, architects, artists and engineers acting in this field can meet, learn, share and present their work and experience.

We have found with IMAGINA 2006 the possibility to develop such an event. We are convinced that it is the best place to do so in Europe. I invite all companies with a presence in Europe acting in architecture visualisation to join us to create the largest European event on this topic.

A number of demo structures and meeting venues will be set up at the Grimaldi Forum, encouraging exchanges of information and fostering concrete and lasting relationships:

* The PIM (The Privileged Information Meetings) will enable industrial players to present their latest developments in software and hardware technology to an audience with a high concentration of buyers.

* The Demo Space will be open in the Exhibition Hall for the demonstration of the latest solutions to all participants.

* The Plug-in Village, inside the Exhibition Hall, will be located next to the industry sector, and will be dedicated to independent publishers of software and plug-in tools.

* The Pipeline Café will be a place for discussions and negotiations in an intimate and friendly setting to consolidate relationships and enable the striking of partnerships and commercial agreements.
