Chaos Releases Corona 12 Update 1: Enhancements for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D
Chaos has announced the release of Corona 12 Update 1, introducing several new features and improvements for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D users.
Key Features:
- Corona to Vantage Live Link: This feature allows users to utilize Vantage Live Link as an alternative to Interactive Rendering, facilitating real-time scene exploration and rendering.
- Chaos Cloud Collaboration: Users can now share images directly from the Virtual Frame Buffer (VFB), enabling discussions through markup, deliverable sharing, and the setup of virtual tours.
- Enhanced Caustics: The update delivers faster caustic calculations, approximately doubling the quality within the same rendering time. Additionally, a caustics multiplier provides control over the brightness of caustics on surfaces and in volumes.
- Volumetric Caustics: Reflected and refracted rays generated by caustics are now visible within volumes, enhancing realism in renders.
- Image Upscaling: The introduction of image upscaling allows for quicker interactive rendering or test renders by rendering at a lower resolution and upscaling the image, saving time without compromising quality.
These updates aim to streamline workflows and improve rendering efficiency for users of Corona in 3ds Max and Cinema 4D.
