Real-time Rendering Possible If You Use Corona? Corona To Vantage Live Link & More

In this video, Agnieszka Klich from Ach Viz Artist introduces the new Corona to Vantage Live Link feature, which makes real-time rendering a reality. This integration lets you instantly see the effects of lighting and material changes without waiting for a full render, making it a game-changer for architectural visualization workflows.
Agnieszka walks you through setting up the Live Link in 3ds Max using Corona 12 and points out some initial issues, like HDRI and post-panel synchronization problems. However, she quickly shows how to adjust things in Vantage to get everything working as expected. The video demonstrates how simple it is to fine-tune exposure, contrast, and light properties on the fly, saving valuable time.
A big highlight is the ability to sync lighting changes in Corona with Vantage, though it’s a one-way sync (changes made in Vantage won’t affect Corona). Despite this, the ability to tweak materials and lighting in real-time without waiting for renders is a major boost to productivity.
Agnieszka also covers the scene sub-states feature in Vantage, which allows you to create different presets for things like time of day or lighting conditions. This makes it easy to switch between various setups quickly. Additionally, Vantage offers smooth scene navigation, object adjustments, and material edits, giving you full control.
What’s truly impressive is how fast Vantage can render—under a minute for a 4K scene. While the quality may not match that of full DCC tools (in some cases), the speed and convenience make it ideal for quick previews, client presentations, and testing lighting and animations. It's a huge time-saver, especially when render times can be a bottleneck in a project.
Overall, the Corona to Vantage Live Link feature is a fantastic tool for speeding up your workflow, helping you make faster decisions, and delivering results without compromising on quality. Whether you're creating a client pitch or experimenting with lighting setups, this feature is sure to save you time and effort.
