The 3D Student Awards redefine how we champion emerging talent in the archviz industry. This innovative program offers a distinct experience compared to traditional awards, with unique rules designed to elevate the next generation of visualizers.
As the May 12th deadline approaches, let's address some of your most frequently asked questions about the Student Awards:
Categories
We have four award categories, with three recognizing individual student achievements:

- Best Still Image: Awards the most exceptional single image created by a student.
- Best Film: Celebrates the most outstanding student-produced film or animation.
- Best Academic Presentation: This unique category recognizes the most innovative and groundbreaking project presentation created for academic work. For inspiration, see examples in these articles from Arch20 and Illustrarch. Note: Presentations go beyond single images, encompassing a complete board that comprehensively explains the project.
- School of the Year: This award celebrates institutions with the highest overall student achievements. Schools will be automatically ranked based on contest rules without direct selection by judges.
*All submissions must be REAL academic work and not professional/commissioned pieces.
Eligibility
To participate in the 3D Student Awards, you must meet the following criteria:

- Enrollment: Be currently enrolled in an accredited course at an educational institution. This must be verifiable at the time your work was completed. Note: Free courses do not qualify.
- Academic Focus: Submit genuine academic work. Professional projects will not be accepted.
- Originality: Class assignments typically completed by multiple students are ineligible. We seek unique projects, not variations of the same work.
- Age Requirement: Be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Documentation: Be prepared to provide proof of the above requirements if requested.
Important Note: We'll verify all eligibility requirements after the judging round. Please have any necessary documentation on hand.
