Within this serious game, we've crafted a virtual laboratory, a pivotal tool for scientists to unravel the intricacies of real-world lab workflows, procedures, and safety protocols. My role in this endeavor was multifaceted:
-My responsibilities extended to modeling, texturing, and seamlessly integrating lab essentials, such as beaker holders, microscopes, tables, and more.
-I took charge of constructing versatile modular hose systems.
-I meticulously optimized CAD instruments for seamless integration into our real-time environment.
-My creative touch encompassed set dressing, transforming the lab into a realm that closely mirrors reality.
-I skillfully acquired and integrated asset packs to elevate the project's overall quality.
-I contributed to the standardization of shaders, enhancing performance and reducing lag.
-I added collision volumes for refined interaction.
-Tiling texture sets received a comprehensive overhaul for a cohesive visual experience.
-I also designed light-blocking volumes to eliminate unwanted lighting artifacts.
It's important to note that the success of this project was a collaborative effort, with my colleagues, Jason Pavik, Brandon Grada, and Gilahd Yefet, handling various vital tasks that contributed to its overall achievement. Together, we've created a virtual learning experience that bridges the gap between theory and practice in the realm of laboratory work.
