need advice on noise reduction

hi marc I strongly recomend using the solid rocks plugin for vray, no more number blues, just quality sliders and presets. I never looked back!

Try dialing your subdivisions down to 8 and increase your anti-aliasing to 16min 64 max

It's not your materials or lights subdivs but more likely your Adaptive DMC samples are too low. Or try your Noise levels on the DMC Sampler (go for 0.001)
