In this serious game demo, we've designed a virtual laboratory with the purpose of facilitating scientists' understanding of real-world lab workflows, procedures, and safety protocols. My role in this project encompassed several key responsibilities:
-I meticulously modeled and textured large machinery, ensuring high-fidelity representations.
-I engineered a versatile modular conveyor belt system to streamline in-game processes.
-I took charge of modeling, texturing, and seamlessly integrating essential lab props, such as beaker holders, microscopes, tables, and more.
-My expertise extended to optimizing CAD instruments, ensuring their seamless integration into our real-time environment.
-To enhance the immersion, I engaged in set dressing, bringing the laboratory areas closer to reality.
-I acquired and integrated asset packs to elevate the project's overall quality.
-Contributing to performance optimization, I played a role in standardizing a set of shaders, ultimately reducing lag and enhancing the user experience.
-Tiling texture sets received a comprehensive overhaul to ensure visual cohesiveness and consistency.
It's essential to note that this project's success was the result of collaborative efforts. My colleagues, Jason Pavik, Brandon Grada, and Gilahd Yefet, played pivotal roles in handling various vital tasks that contributed to the project's overall triumph. Together, we've created a virtual learning experience that effectively bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory work.
