Firing up the imagination of space exploration – the retired space shuttle Endeavour will soon be on permanent display at the California Science Center’s new Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center.
The centerpiece of this groundbreaking design by ZGF Architects will feature the orbiter alongside the last remaining authentic orange external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters. By placing the spacecraft vertically, in a launch position, the installation will be the tallest of its kind in the world.
Our visuals aim to express the awe-inspiring feeling visitors, young and old alike, will have when standing at the base of such a monumental piece of history. One that will hopefully spark future dreams of space travel and exploration.
