The word that pooped into my mind upon seeing this remarkable design was WOW! The amount of craftsmanship,that goes into such a ceiling is immense. You can just feel he human effort here. The overall design and image composition are excellent. Bravo.

No problem, we use floor generator plugin to generate the randomness of the wood panel and the powerfull procedural bercon tile by Jerry Ylilammi mixed with floor generator to create the displacement. I can write a tutorial for who want ;) Happy new year 2013
Thanks for getting back so quick, it was more the modelling technique rather than texturing.

Oh ok, just very low poly, 1 symmetry modifier + turbosmooth and 4 copies to obtain the entire roof. Super easy

Thanks, Huge challenge to create the roof to be honnest but displacement map was used with random wood plank technique
