The original image was pretty clean and tidy and boring which i done about 4 years ago, i have done a few jobs since for the client in this respect so i have done this simply to show them what more can be acheived, they loved it.!!! the actual image took 18hours to render at 991x1200, vray sun with vray storm sea material reworked to get it flat calm, simple displacement map on a plane for the sea, and one spherical vray light. The rust materials were blend colour base with additional rust bitmap for bump and noise. Seagull from the internet
