Storefront Retail/Office As-Built, Hayward

The task was to capture the existing conditions of a commercial retail and office building for supporting an upcoming renovation.

The project was not limited to basic documentation of walls and rooms, but special attention was given to documenting all structural framing that is visible. Exposed beams, columns and any accessible support element that will have an influence on the renovation design were considered.

Using precise field data and high-level modelling, we supplied the designing team with an honest digital framework upon which to stand strongly and consider their next steps with confidence. And as a digitally realised space that translated the real and let fantasy run wild, the digital twin allowed stakeholders to move through the space virtually—making communication easier, and speeding up collaboration, no matter where in the world.
