Perhaps I was a bit misleading with my wording. This (specifically the renderings shown on the slides - not the animation itself) was meant as a timeline sampling of my own work. But I believe it is also exemplary of the progression of rendering quality the entire arch viz industry has experienced over the years.
Anyone who came into arch viz in the past 6 or so years has likely been able to jump right into producing exceptional still images without a huge learning curve due to the ease of use render engines such as Vray have made commonplace. This wasn't so 15+ years ago. Back then (practically) all we had to work with was the default scanline render engine built into 3D Studio Viz. There were all sorts of fakes and work-arounds that had to be done in order to make the lighting in a space look accurate. And even then things never looked quite right - interiors especially!
I intentionally desaturated the first few years of images, partly to imply their age. But more so to disguise their bad quality (compared with today's norm).
Hope that kinds helps clarify things.

Nice animation.......but how does this reflect anything about the industry?
