I want to learn to do like that !!!
Usually we say China town 中国城 in stead of 新华埠:) The latter one is like department of centrel goverment of China.
Fantastic!Very impressive!
Thanks guys! To answer a few of your questions...
How many artists worked on it and how long did it take, if I may ask?
It was 4 artists for around 8 weeks!
I would really like to have some specification, like time rendernig on what machine and software, people animation done by?
Render times varied per shot, but we roughly stuck to around 30 - 40 minutes, maxing out at about 1 hr per frame. We used 3ds Max and Vray for the majority of the film, with Cinema 4D for the Dragon sequences, Fusion for the compositing, and Premiere for the edit. The people were all created using Populate in 3ds Max 2016.
i think you've copied me.
Post a link to your film, it would be great to see it! :) There's also a set of images that we worked on in parallel to the film, and more info on the project here: uniform.net/blog/january-2016/europe%E2%80%99s-oldest-chinatown,-reinvented Cheers!
I made an animation for an old fosters project when i was there, and it followed this concept of wireframe flythrough to rendered images. although much much worse. i think you've copied me. amazing animation though, hell of a lot of time and skill has gone in to it.
Sorry sometimes I think I have OCD 1:16 flickering on glass 1:52 bush in background some light problem :D But it was perfect animation with very good design! I like timelapse people. You gave me idea to use it in my project. I would really like to have some specification, like time rendernig on what machine and software, people animation done by?
Clever transistion from wireframe to render, very cool.
Wow, excellent work and creative! Not only that, you managed to overcome boring flighs with the combination of the dragon theme, the wireframe design and skilled camera motion. Must have been a lot of work though. How many artists worked on it and how long did it take, if I may ask?
congrats! really impresive!
