Matrat, The ancient clay bowl
Matrat, The ancient clay bowl
Many years ago, in the region of Azerbaijan and especially in the City of Tabriz this type of traditional bowl called Matrat, was used for making Persian Yogurt or storing food, dried fruits, and beans. This bowl is handmade from clay and covered with blue glaze. The blue glaze makes the dish resistant to heat and moisture and also gives it a special beauty.
I took 171 pictures of the bowl in various angles on a turntable. Then thanks to 3DF Zephyr, I bring photos to a 3D model. Then I created a low-poly 3D model in ZBrush, unwrapped it in RizomUV, and baked the high-poly on the low-poly in the Marmoset Toolbag. After all, I create PBR textures with a few adjustments in the Substance Painter. The result was rendered by Marmoset.
Textures: 8K PBR
High-Poly: 1,282,313 Polys
Low-Poly: 38,928 Polys
