Al Marjan Island is a Project that began as a work necessity but evolved into a personal challenge. I started by studying the existing island's volumetry, modeling its surface, and detailing elements like streets, blocks, beaches, grassy areas, public spaces, and wave-breakers, distributed building models, adjusted vegetation distribuition, and detailed the landscape with a high variety of greenery, trees, palms, grass and shrubs.
The texturing process used procedural methods to avoid repetition, and I added finer details such as streetlights, benches, cars, beach loungers, umbrelas, etc to increase realism.
Finally, i worked on this scene highlighting the main building but also focusing on the island, working most on lighting and camera effects and using matte painting to enhance realism and emotion.
It’s important to mention that AI was not used to create this image. It was used only as a tool for a part of the matte painting process, but the entire scene was fully developed in CGI.
I hope you Enjoy!
