Highways to cities are like arteries to the human body, circulating people around in enormous settlements.
Lately I've been watching the second season of True Detective, and been captivated by the eerie, yet grandiose aerial shots of highways appearing there from time to time. Also I've just visited LA, and experienced the terrible highway traffic first hand. We were staying one block distance from a highway, so we could often see that highways never sleep. So if you put together all these it's quite inevitable, that after I got back home, quickly started to punish myself with the modeling of a sophisticated highway intersection.
