Envisioned along the Ndia kuu street of Old town Mombasa, the building sits on a trapezoidal site. The challenge was to create a building that appreciates the context of the site and is climate responsive. This has been achieved by white material to reflect heat, timber balconies and a broken facade to appreciate context and a setback from the plot boundaries to create a street restaurant.
