Recently worked on Corona renderer and found that it works best for interior environments. This scene is a very simple scene done very quickly just a demonstration of how quickly you can achieve a photo realistic result.
Scene contains one light and environment light. The render was done in 30-40 minutes.
The scene depicts or evokes emotions of winter, or Christmas time of the year. The monotonous color scheme works perfect here to create that emotion or feeling.
