The Grey
Positioned prominently on the crest of the Great North Road ridge, The Grey stands as a distinguished boutique apartment building that exudes character and charm. With its captivating blend of avant-garde architecture and refined interiors, this development serves as a true embodiment of the vibrant Grey Lynn neighbourhood. Our collaboration with Covington Group involved creating a compelling set of 3D visualisations, masterfully designed by Paul Brown & Associates. Notably, The Grey was selected as a finalist in the 2021 Best Awards under the Design Craft category.
In crafting these renders, our objective was to highlight the raw, tonal materiality of the building while imbuing it with warmth and avoiding any sense of coldness or harshness. We achieved this by employing soft, late afternoon lighting that enhances the inviting ambience and by seamlessly integrating lush greenery into the surroundings. Furthermore, the interior styling adds an element of luxury to the presentation, effectively softening the architectural lines. To achieve this effect, we carefully curated a selection of contemporary, sculptural furniture, which tastefully juxtaposes against the building's clean geometric forms.
