Hello fellow cga'ers.
This is a recent piece I completed for an architectural competition. Some notes of potential interest:
The glass on this project was fairly important to make come to life. It's a double skin system with integrated operable solar panels (*the dark integrated into the exterior skin). To add some variance, I faded the refraction value with a fresnel type fall off from blue to green.
Close up you might see some plants inside the skin on the other side. These were bamboo plants used within the skin to help 'scrub' the air clean as the stack effect cycled air throughout the building.
A big shout out goes to Brian Kitts who did some great modeling/texturing on a lot of the site and the bottom two floors of the building. It was a lot of fun working with a fellow cga-ite on this project.
