The Heart Group is a diversified heart-centred company building & investing in meaningful projects across multiple sectors in Cyprus. I designed and achieved the renovation project of their 220 sq.m. headquarters in Limassol.
The purpose of The Heart Group Office Renovation is to give everyone a warm welcome and the opportunity to encourage movement, foster collaboration and drive creativity. We sought to respected in the new design the bones of the existing building: exposed beam construction.
The main project guidelines were to conceive the interiors as a succession of spaces with different textures, materials and colors that provide –while strolling through the building– a feeling of freshness, transparency and thoroughness which eventually reflects the spirit and culture of the company.
A thoughtful usage of colors and materials has been one of the central tools in implementing those ideas into the actual space. Each office zone has been conceived with its own textures and chromatic interplay. By combining those an eminent harmony is created as a result of either their similarity or contrast.
Corporate projects always challenge us to investigate new dynamics and work relationships. In the Office Renovation, in addition to thinking about the flexibility of the space, we also thought about the flexibility in the way client work in the office.
Knowing the dynamics of The Heart Group and the number of daily hours they spend in the office, we use all the tables with adjustable height, which allows them to work alternating between sitting and standing. The executive tables occupy a strategic place in the private office that also allows informal meetings with the team.
The outcome is an intuitive and rational space, representing a more empathetic, domestic and functionalist office culture, with an enjoyable and warm touch – just as we imagined the new headquarters of The Heart Group to be – a dynamic company that looks to the future.
