Fair enough, but the rendering was done in about 4 hours including all post work. Competitions are like that. The skaters were the only photos I could get and happen to be other designers in my office. I felt they were good sports about it :D In hindsight the image is a bit out of balance with the warm/cool colours. In between the plywood fins in a 2.5" piece of tight cell poly carbonate. We plan to internally LED light it with a concealed solar array and batteries. That's where the glow comes from. The skate marks is def. a good idea and one I didn't think of.

I agree that the two women in the foreground are distracting. I laughed when i first saw this image because of the smiles on their faces :) If you are going to keep them, it would be cool to add some skate marks in the ice behind their skates to add to the realism. Also, the hut looks good but slightly out of place... i think it looks like that to me because the rest of the image is so blue. Maybe compensate one or the other. not sure. Looks good though

I'd drop the 2 women in the foreground if I were you, my eyes are attracted to them and they have a stupid smile on their faces other than that great render I like the mood and the lighting.
