This is my first attempt at a rendering. I used AutoCAD 2012, Revit 2012 and 3ds Max 2012 for the modeling, 3ds Max for the initial rendering and Photoshop CS5 for the post. The only software I was previously familiar with was AutoCAD so the learning curve was REALLY steep. It was also seriously fun!
The copyright for the original image is owned by the Museum of the Rockies. I can't link directly to the original photo but you can see it by going to www.morphotoarchive.org and then search by subject -> railroad-depot.
