Made with max 2012 design, vray 2 and photoshop cs3. The client requested an illustration that blended the cabin in its natural landscape.
I did a lot of enhancements and tweaks in photoshop to achieve this cold winterly mood. I used SnowFlow for the snow, and ATree3D for the blank trees. The backdrop is an image from the real site, and the pines are from a 3d object package - except from the one behind the cabin, that I quick fixed in from a 2d vegetation pack.
If I was going to do it again, I'd make a couple of detailed objects inside the cabin. But this one is finished and accepted by the client. Might play around with it later, though.
