This slide is result of experiment with cloth, garment and soft object modifiers which I haven't used very often before. First of all I have to state that this interior is not entirely my design. I didn't intend to be very creative here since I wanted to focus on garments, that's why I partially took over a layout from a photo i googled, altered it and added various details so that it doesn't look like a foul copy. Hope it's OK since this really wasn't a commercial work.
I wanted to create a complex object by employing garment and cloth modifiers and that's what I did with sofa. I made few mistakes and I would probably do it a bit differently now but that's exactly what practice is about. Cushions, drapes and blanket were also made with various aspects of cloth/garment/soft body modifiers. The rest of scene is rather simple and was modeled in good ol' low poly technique.
I like my textures cheap and indie, that's why i used basic pics I got with Max and stuff i googled, than made seamless... The only texture I baked was the one for blanket (though you probably can't see it in this low resolution).
As you can see not too many colors there, everithing is melt together in sepia-like atmosphere. For rendering I used standard irradiance map/light cache sets and soft panel lights. I didn’t bosted filters since I like to leave some grain and noise. In my opinion this makes renders more life-like.
Cheers!
