its strange your trees look so 2d ! :D maybe its because of the fake sky ! may laptop is also very midrange and may latest works have remained unrendered because of loooooooong render time that i cant efford ! maybe we should submit to this year's awards and win some prizes ! :D

I have used an HDRi map, but the sky got burned in the final render and I got lazy to render it again so I photoshoped it in. :D In this scene the only 2D objects are the cat and the man in suit, and I use them just to shorten the rendering time, I'm using a three year old, high-end laptop that has its limits. But 3d objects would help. Unfortunately after I uploaded this render, I realized that I should have unsaturated the green trees to make it more seasonal perhaps.

Hi ! its good.i reccomend not to use 2d objects unless you really have to ! most of the times they will ruin your renders and hard efforts ! an HDRI lighting (with high res quality map )will improve your work so much ( if you already didnt use !).tanx
