Did you use displacement for the carpet, or just a bump map? It's one of the better representations of a carpet material that I've seen around here.

neil is right... space seems materials and lighting look good, but the space seems empty and I don't think the winter scene outside helps a lot. Maybe replace the exterior with something a little more cheerful and add some graphic elements to the wall...
