yes , i did play with Shadow/highlight dude you right
I use classic 3Ds max , that's how i do
and also i did special render parameters , and high subdivs

The shadow areas should be brighter based on the intensity of the direct sun and the brightness ouside of balcony.
The edges of the shadow created by the Sun are too sharp.

Address those issues I mentioned and then, I too can 'feel'.

I did use metric
-also sun vray , mult 0.3
-the background map is vray material light 0.6
i can send screen shots
its quality render ,in fast time i feel , dont u ?

May be softer shadow edges with the size multiplier?
