Thanks! Not a noob question at all because what happened here is rare. That person is actually rendered. I typically will use a model of a simple 3d person as place holder than use photo shop to bring in a photo of a person but this one managed to look really good when rendered.
I recommend using a simple person model or at the very least a cube to give u general shadow lengths, reflection references, etc.

by the way, may i ask a noob question? the man facing the elevator was added in photoshop? if so, how did you manage to make the shadows? it blended really good whith the scene
