This was an entry for the Off the grid challenge at 3DAllusions. The concept was to create a house with a base model that would incorporate technology for it to exist off the grid.
You could choose any environment that you wanted. I chose a suburban setting because off the grid living isn't just for someone out in the middle of nowhere or a wealthy mans retreat. I wanted my entry to be a little more "down to earth" if you'll excuse the pun.
I used 3DS MAX, Vray and Forest Pack Lite with a little work in Photoshop.
