I've been pondering the idea of giving lw a shot for the last year or so... the price point is right and it seems to be a really strong package. With the new release being out for a while now, I might download and give r a shot...

Thanks. I've been using lightwave for about 8 years. It's what I started out learning 3d with, and I never switched. I use lw for everything from modeling to final render. For personal work such as this I don't use CAD, but at work I usually export .dwg lines from CAD and model from that within lightwave.

Very nicely done... and great site too, lots of fantastic images to go back to for inspiration and reference! How long have you been working with Lightwave Jason? Are your projects Lightwave solely or do you use a combo of CAD/ lightwave? Just wondering...
