The lights were not set on skylight portals - I didn't even use a skylight in this scene. And to be honest I never use sky portals, I don't like the results at all.
Colour mapping I used was Reinhard.
Multiplier = 1
Burn = .65
Gamma = 2.2 (As I use LWF within Max, but burn it in and render time)
Hope this helps, Tom.

Thanks for the info.
Its a jaw dropping render, its not often to see this quality.
Did you set the light planes on skylight portals?
Do you mind sharing what was your color mapping and gamma settings?
Thanks.

The scene was lit with a two vray light planes in the windows, plus a sun set to a very low intensity. Around 0.3. Shadow sub divs at 16 to make sure they're nice and smooth. Mat sub divs are no higher than 8...

great work Tom,
How did you light the scene?
how high were your parameters to achieve such a crisp noise free render?

I used Vray for these images, and I would say that the result is down to the artist, the rendering engine alone does not mean realistic results, although there are better engines than others.

Hi there
I'm really attracted by your exteremly photorealistic results !
Which rendering engine have you used for these images? Is it Maxwell or the regular V-Ray?
Or in general, is it the rendering engine working fantastic, or the artist? :)
