Max, and Photoshop
this was rendered out in about 5 or 6 passes. i.e. key light, diffuse, and bounce. I used a modified Bobo's skydome, and did some tricks to get a bounce pass, and I rendered out a standard fill pass, and another key pass. It is too cumbersome to render out a shadow pass, as Max's render elements doesn't respect transparent cards with shadow maps.
