Zaha Hadid Architects won the competition to reshape Sanya City with a futuristic cultural district, positioning it as a gateway to Sanya Bay and the South China Sea. The central axis divides the area into a performing arts theater and exhibition galleries on one side and a conference and trade fair hub on the other.
Our team supported ZHA's vision with two moods that emphasize the standout feature: curving, layered rooftops resembling floating sails that capture sunlight. We look forward to seeing this design realized, as it is expected to bring a positive impact to the area, elevating its cultural and architectural significance.
