Oculus is a personal project by Jamie Holmes, a director at One to One Hundred, done about 4 years ago. The purpose of the render set was to elevate our portfolio so we could win more high-end residential work by showing what we could achieve when presented with impressive architecture and interiors.

Jamie designed, modelled and rendered the entire project using reference from Australian developments. The images were the centrepiece of a talk by Jamie for Inbetweenness in 2021.

In the world of CG architecture, summer is a time to relax. At least in The Netherlands it is; builders and architects all share the same holiday, so in this period the work is a bit slow. Unfortunately the weather isn't always great here, so with grey clouds and rain outside, and some free time on my hands, I started dreaming about a place and so came up with this set of images of a summer pool, with some nice blue skies and sunlight peeking through the lush green trees.
