ELEMENT studio proposed winning concept of Central Square. The idea of a finger pointing on the square site refers to tourists constantly pointing Parade Square on the map because of its central location in the city. This leaves a fingerprint which in reality is a delicate hollow in the square surface which can be used in different ways depending on actual weather, events or other demands.

Central square is dedicated mainly to pedestrians and cyclists as architects decided to close it for car transportation.

Oval shape of the hollow in the centre of the square plasticises the space and encourages visitors to come inside. It stimulates social interaction bringing people to the central point of plaza. The square is divided into diversified areas in order to create a cultural hub inside of Warsaw's downtown and evoke user's interaction.

The grid of the Central Square is a continuation to the existing surface division in front of the Palace of Culture and Science. Large-sized dilatated concrete slabs are used to achieve plain, non-threshold surface.

It is my favorite perspective which can always make the building look dramatic from my point of view. What do you think?

The glass facade is linking the spaces inside with the world outside which can also provide a clear view to the outside. The concept of the vertical profiles is a nice addition to the facade that is helpful to make the building look intimidating.

Also, the atmosphere is a plus to what the architects wanted to express" the greatest work of art ever".

The design intent was to create an eco-friendly, cost effective, off-the-grid cabins that are to be built around the Ozolini farm in rural Latvia. The Ozolini farm is a Latvia tea company that creates a mixture of unique herbal teas.

The Competition asked that the designers propose a design that would provide a comfortable living accommodation to a single person for 4-5 days. It had to be in operation for all seasons of the year, to contain a sufficient clear floor area for meditation. It also needed to include an area to store small amounts of food and water, alternative lighting options as well as a way to heat the place in the winter months.

Our design focused on being built in the forest area as well as around the small lake.

Although we didn't win anything it was a fun competition to be a part of and a learning experience.

GLASS HOUSE is a private house in Bali, Indonesia.
The building has 2 oval shape floors with glass facades.
The pool is designed as a hemisphere covered with a blue mosaic inside.
There are lobby, hall, kitchen, bathroom, wardrobe on the 1st floor and 2 bedrooms, bathroom, wardrobe, open terrace on the 2nd floor.
Decorative elements in the form of long sticks used as sun protection. They have 3 positions: closed house, opened house and cool mode. You can set any position by using your smartphone.
Each stick has smart sensors, so you shouldn`t worry they will hit you.
You can lower sticks if you leave home for a long time.
