About Karun Tugay Candir

Karun Tugay Çandır is a multi-disciplinary creative based in Oslo. He works in the fields of architectural visualization, spatial design and photography. Born in Istanbul in 1987, he studied architectural drafting in vocational high school and pursued further education in the architectural restoration department of Mimar Sinan University. Residing in Istanbul and Bodrum, he worked as an interior designer in various projects while developing skills in architectural visualization. In 2016, he relocated to Budapest and served as a Senior 3D artist at Brick Visual Solutions. During this period, he had the opportunity to visualize architectural projects in diverse styles and programs across the globe. Since 2019, he has been a resident of Oslo, working as visual artist in the architectural practice, A-lab. His practice is a narrative journey focusing on built environments and their complex relationships with human experience, natural and cultural heritage, identity and authenticity.
