$Michael Brown - http://www.downtownmikebrown.com Michael Brown 3ds max 2011, vray, photoshop cs3 Hello fellow cga'ers. This is a recent piece I completed for an architectural competition. Some notes of potential interest: The glass on this project was fairly important to make come to life. It's a double skin system with integrated operable solar panels (*the dark integrated into the exterior skin). To add some variance, I faded the refraction value with a fresnel type fall off from blue to green. Close up you might see some plants inside the skin on the other side. These were bamboo plants used within the skin to help 'scrub' the air clean as the stack effect cycled air throughout the building. A big shout out goes to Brian Kitts who did some great modeling/texturing on a lot of the site and the bottom two floors of the building. It based on the impressive "Labacaho House" by Bruno Erpicum. We saw it on Archello and decided to make a rendering looks like this house for our facebook page header. within the work the project grow and some more renderings were produced. we made some new furniture and materials and put it on a fictional ground. It is a little different form the original, so it is an interpretation.

Well answering some questions: this is a personal project yes, model is not really perfect because i took it from google warehouse and was too lazy to fix everything :) lightning is basically an hdri sky with some luminance, a weak light to create the moon and some omni lights inside the stadium. The foreground is not modeled! it was done in photoshop as the lightning effects and all the animation inside the stadium.
