Clean, airy and sunny - these words can describe the project, that was made for architectural studio "Elforma" who had designed it. Just as in previous work this house was modeled in 3ds max and finished with matte painting technic.

Personal Project. 3ds max + vray + photoshop

A small conceptual design I have done in my spare time. The building is a museum/exhibition space situated in the forest. The idea of the concept is to merge the building with the nature of the forest surrounding it. This is done by keeping the facades of the building open and transparent to dissolve the boarder between inside and outside. Furthermore trees from the forest has been planted in the two courtyards dragging them "into" the building, underlining that the transition from building to nature is keep minimal and gentle to the nature.

At the Speed of Dreams” (alla velocità dei sogni) titolo della proposta presentata al concorso internazionale “The Unbelievable challenge“, è l’idea che ha ispirato il progetto. Ogni anno, infatti, Babbo Natale compie il giro del mondo in una sola notte e per poterci riuscire ha certamente bisogno del veicolo più veloce che possa esistere. E comunque, nonostante milioni di persone ogni anno lo aspettino, nessuno lo ha mai visto davvero. Ecco perché “At the speed of dreams”! Perché voglio credere che tutto ciò che il nostro cuore e la nostra mente vorrebbe vedere, è possibile vederlo se ci crediamo ed è possibile vederlo sotto forma di scie luminose. Le scie di luce sono indefinite, intangibili, evanescenti eppure esistono. Quindi ho voluto immaginare il centro logistico di Babbo Natale come se fosse la sua slitta in partenza per Korvatunturi, la coordinata geografica che identifica il luogo esatto dove egli risiede, al confine tra Russia e Finlandia. In partenza da Perävainio, poco fuori Oulu, città industriale della Finlandia del nord.
