THE EYE OF MARS (SOLIS LACUS)

This is my entry for the D2 No. 6 TMRW Challenge - First settlement on Mars. 

My thought process behind this was in two directions - what is the most realistic way of survival in a hostile environment and what would I miss the most from home.

Going underground has proven throughout the centuries as an effective way of protection, easier connectivity, storage, isolation when needed, etc. So I think it's a realistic approach for the first settlement on Mars.

As for what would I miss the most - definitely the forest and having this kind of tranquillity.
