TOKORO Apartment 1/2
TOKORO implies the idea of context, as the place is inevitably connected with all the activities around it. It is also used to describe a state of being.
The ritual, the unexpected situations and the constantly changing personal needs are decisive factors in establishing the interior space, both functionally and aesthetically.
By giving up the classic frozen compartments, we opted for a dynamic solution: the temporary enclosure is done with the help of sliding furniture. The areas intertwine, allowing the use of the apartment suitable for every type of configuration based by the ones ritual. The fluid space becomes the framework for carrying out daily activities.
The secondary access between the bedroom and the living room becomes a spatial interlude, integrated into the furniture.
