Historical re-creation, Traverse City State Hospital, Building 50, 1890
I created this image as a personal project. This 63-acre site is in the same town where I am located, and many of the original buildings are still standing. I have modeled the terrain and medium-poly versions of all buildings, with plans to bring many of them to this level of detail. This 1000' long building (Building 50) is one of the few remaining Kirkbride Buildings. I modeled it from field measurements, original architectural sketches, and hundreds of photos.
