The challenge of the competition was to give an architectural form and function to a site which, give its prime location, has the potential to redifine the entire preception of the area. The lakes have the potential to become the urban focus of a completely different relationship between Dubai & Sharjah.New strategies may be envisioned in order to enhance a common strategy for the development of the waterfront areas of the two emirates.
