This is the main entrance for the same project I've been working on now for a while. The architect wanted all spaces to be connected visually on vertical & horizontal directions. This space has the main theme of the palace & this theme should be represented in every other room. I hope i did my job right & I hope you like this new work of A+ Design.
Technically I had a lot of problems when merging the parts of this hall. It was a whole of 4 files, each with 2-3 Million polygons. I converted every Hi-res model to VRay proxy. The problem happened when I merged 2 of the files. The file suddenly jumped to 1.25GB in size & consumed 18GB of RAM. It kept on to reach 2.5GB with only 3 files merged & 23GB RAM consumed, so it was impossible to render the file.
I found the solution on Area forums, thanks to Autodesk, for the problem which was very strange & new to me. They said you just have to click File> New> Keep objects with Hierarchy. Then when I saved the same file it came down to 220MB with only 3GB of RAM used.
This was done for I-Design office.
I'm glad to share this experience with you. Don't forget to leave a comment to enhance my work.
