A little addition of modern style in the form of coffee tables and paintings perfectly proves that the fusion of those concepts is just fine. In the 3D renderings, you can notice many types of ornate mouldings over on the walls, ceilings and over the doorways. As they are of the same colour as the mouldings, they originally complement each other. While being in those interiors the residents will definitely not get the feeling of exaggeration, as the furniture is in the perfect size and patterns or ornates are noncommittal, this means not too busy or disturbing to look at.
