Extragenesis explores the reuse and rebirth of a place through layers of architectural "strata," which allows the occupant to see a space throughout its many states in life. These layers not only allow a place to retain its original charm from the time it was built, but also maintains a contemporary reading for subsequent renovations and additions, resulting in a multilayered place which one reads both in its three dimensional spatial qualities, and in the fourth dimension; this reading expresses a building's contextual relationship from each state of development.
