MVRDV’s design concept, Elielinsaaristo represents how Helsinki’s grey transportation hub could be reshaped into an attractive urban space. In the proposal, the environment of the imposing building becomes complete with safe pedestrian and bicycle routes, commercial activities and native plant species. To support our client’s vision, we created images showing how the social, biological and economic spheres can come together in harmony.
